Start with a need
Choose a practical task from everyday life and give the app a clear purpose.
INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT · EVERYDAY NEEDS
Everyday needs are the starting point. Haru turns them into focused apps that are easy to use, for your commute, your next workout and the places you want to remember.

Made for the things you do.
And the memories you keep.
ABOUT HARU

Haru is an independent app development brand created and maintained by Dongchan Seo. Each product starts with something people need to do in everyday life, then focuses on making that task easier to understand and use.
Founded in September 2026.

The products serve different needs: following a commute, keeping a workout moving, or collecting memories of places. The shared direction is simple: build useful tools, make the next step clear and keep improving what people actually use.

TECHNOLOGY & DATA
Each app and platform has its own processing and connection requirements. Published features and development work are described separately.
Published iOS product
The camera helps recognize supported repetitions and plank hold time. The published privacy policy states that camera analysis runs on the device; camera images are neither saved nor uploaded.
Recognition can vary with lighting, camera placement and visibility. It supports workout tracking rather than professional posture diagnosis.
Workout privacy policyDevelopment candidate · not publicly released
A development candidate is testing local generation of summary and title drafts. These are AI drafts to review. iPhone speech recognition and behavior on actual devices are still being verified.
The Android candidate is being developed with network access and prior consent for Google SDK device and app information transfers during model preparation. The consent and download flow is still being implemented and tested.
Policies for each product
Live transit information, maps, model preparation and sharing have different connection requirements. Read the policy for the app and version you use to understand its data handling.
